CHURCH REGULATION IS LONG OVERDUE.
Unless someone has just landed from the moon or pluto, the stories of thugs masquerading as pastors is not news anymore. We have had these individuals committing darker crimes in the name of God and getting away with it.
I remember the investigative story of Kaniaru who not only stole from his members in broad daylight, but also molested women by touching their private parts in the pulpit.
This click of new robbers has always come up of new ways of either making free money or getting fleshly satisfaction from the innocent and ignorant believers who attend their church services. Their sermons are a combination of fake miracles and promises of incoming success, as if Christ is yet to dies on the cross.
Videos of pastors asking women to undress in church for spiritual cleansing are on YouTube and this is just a single example. In another case, a pastor asked believers (women) to remove their pants for him to shave their 'loins'.
All these cases revolve around pastors making money in the name of God and lust for women. Is the church a den of thieves? The Bible says in Mathew 21: 13, 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦, 𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧, 𝐌𝐲 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫; 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐬. Indeed, the church today has become worse than just a den of thieves.
If the words of brother Paul in Ephesians 4:5-6 are as true as they are known to us, why are we having a hard time in pointing out these vices publicly? "Pastors" are protecting thieves (themselves) and the flock has nowhere to run to.
If indeed Kenyan Pastors know 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐲 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥 Why is it so hard to say "𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐥" and anything outside 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡 should not be allowed? One wonders whether the faith as one as said, yet most pastors disagree with introduction of regulation to protect the young believers.
The Government has a responsibility to protect its citizens from thieves of all nature. However, the eaters of human flesh will never allow it to happen any soon for if they do, their personal interests will be a gone case.
For the "full time pastors" who either do not want to work or are out to rob the church, I ask you, just like brother Paul (2Thessalonians 3:10) to find something else to do for your food, house, car, children school fees etc. The church is not a business enterprise and we do not have Levites in Kenya.
The five ministries do not include anyone who should sit and pray for people without working. No one is waiting to give you money to be blessed. Our source of blessing is the death, burial, resurrection and glorification of Christ, not you.
The remaining cohorts need to settle in for sound doctrine, get an introduction of who they really are in Christ. Knowledge informs behavior.
