A man loses 600K after his drink was spiked in Mombasa.

 

Police in Mombasa County are searching for a woman who allegedly disappeared after tranquillizing and stealing almost 600,000 from a man in a local bar. 

The man who had visited Mombasa for the first time on 29th January, 2022 to do his private business, had decided to unwind at a newly opened VIP club volume in Shanzu when the lady popularly known as Wambui appeared. 

The enthusiastic man, infatuated by her appearances, humbly requested her to join him at the table and they started having fun expecting to end it even better.

There celebration ended and, according to the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), they left the bar at cockcrow, staggered out of the club and got a taxi which took them to Seville apartments where the man had reserved a room.

According to the victim, it is in the room where the lady served him with a glass of juice that knocked him out a few minutes later.

When the businessman passed out, Wambui bolted out with his ATM cards, mobile phones, a laptop and other treasures.

According to the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the woman used the cards to empty the man's bank account which had Kshs 596,000.

Police at Bamburi Police Station are currently hunting for the suspect.
